LIVEBAD Creative has landed its first Golden Trailer Award, taking home the prize in the Home Entertainment | Best Digital – Drama category for its :30 spot “Strap Yourself In” for Sony Pictures Classics’ Nuremberg.
The award-winning spot began its life as a shorter :15 theatrical digital piece, created to help kick off the initial campaign with Sony Pictures Classics. The campaign was led by Digital Marketing Manager Mary Sarantakes and overseen by EVP, Marketing Carmelo Pirrone.
On the agency side, the spot was brought to life by Editor Mike Abdelaal, Producer Bex Bradshaw, and Creative Director Antonello Parlato, with graphics support from James Huang and Dinoo Daewar, and music score by composer Brian Tyler.
The piece quickly emerged as one of the highest-performing social spots from a larger campaign that included more than 15 AV digital and TV spots and 1 trailer produced and edited by LIVEBAD Creative for the film. Its performance eventually led Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Home Entertainment team, led by VP of Marketing Michael Now, to take over the spot and expand it into a longer :30 version for the home entertainment campaign.
For the young entertainment marketing agency, the win marks a major milestone, and a fitting capstone to a strong year of work alongside Sony Pictures Classics and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Early signs had already shown that “Strap Yourself In” was connecting with audiences. The Golden Trailer Award now serves as the icing on the cake, recognizing both the performance of the piece and the collaboration behind the campaign.
LIVEBAD Creative extends its thanks to the Golden Trailer Awards, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and all of the teams and collaborators who helped bring the spot and the larger Nuremberg campaign to life.
